The most awaited title in the “Monster Hunter” franchise, “Monster Hunter: World” is coming out in just a few weeks. With two beta tests happening last December, a third and final one will be happening next weekend. This time, it will feature more content.
Unfortunately, before players of other consoles get their hopes up, the third beta for “Monster Hunter: World” will only be available for the PlayStation 4 (PS4) players. Like the second beta, it will no longer require a PS Plus subscription, which was required during the first beta. This third beta will run from Jan. 18, 9 p.m. EST and will end a few days later on Jan. 21 at the same time.
Capcom made the announcement after revealing their plans for the first downloadable content (DLC) for the game. They also mentioned that the bonus content in the third beta will have the latest “terrifying and challenging flagship monster Negrigante.” This is in addition to the other missions players can try, including the Great Devourer, Great Jagras, Wildspire Rampage, and The Ancient Forest Menace.
Negrigante, for those who do not know, is the Elder Dragon that appears on the game’s box art. Players can then try out what it takes to beat one of the Elder Dragons as Capcom recently released a trailer for the game featuring these Elder Dragons.
Players from the previous beta can always come back and try the third beta, especially given the new Negrigante they need to beat. As per most beta these days, characters made during any of the beta including the latest one will be carried on to the main game if the players decide to buy the game when it releases.
“Monster Hunter: World” will be out on Jan. 26, 2018. Although the beta test has always been for the PS4, the game itself will also be made for the Xbox One. The PC version, however, will be coming out at a later date within 2018.
